Upper cover

Covered on the front of the solar cell to form the outer layer of the Zhejiang photovoltaic module, it must be transparent, sturdy, resistant to wind, frost, rain and snow, and be impacted by sand and hail. The material of the upper cover plate includes tempered glass, polypropylene resin, fluorinated ethylene propylene, polycarbonate, etc. Now, low-iron white tempered glass is a very general cover material. The surface of this glass is processed into a micro-pyramid structure (intuitively slightly suede), which can increase the absorption of scattered light to a certain extent.

Adhesive

Adhesive is a key material for fixing solar cells and ensuring the tightness of the upper and lower cover plates. The requirements for it are:

①It has high light transmittance and anti-ultraviolet aging.

②It has some elasticity, cushioning the thermal expansion and contraction between different materials.

③It has outstanding electrical insulation properties and chemical stability, and does not produce harmful gases or liquids by itself.

④It has excellent air tightness and can prevent the intrusion of external moisture or harmful gases. EVA adhesives are now used more frequently.

Bottom plate

The bottom plate must also maintain and support the battery. The general requirements are:

①It has outstanding weather resistance and can cut off the moisture coming in from the back.

②No change is allowed under the lamination temperature.

③Combined with bonding materials to be robust.

The materials used for the bottom plate generally include glass, aluminum alloy, and plexiglass. Nowadays, TPF and TPT polymer polyfluoride membranes are mostly used.

frame

The frame maintenance component of the flat panel component facilitates the connection and fixation of the component and the square matrix bracket. The frame and the adhesive form a seal to the edge of the component. The primary materials are stainless steel, aluminum alloy, rubber and reinforced plastics.
